In 2007/08 I was part of an international ski expedition in Antarctica.

We started at the Ronne Icefield, close to the Weddell Sea and 935 km, 40 days later we arrived at the South Pole. Along the way I reported about climate change to audiences in Holland, Canada and the USA.

I became the first Dutch women to have reached the South Pole on skis.
